Medical alert dogs detect and warn their handlers about an upcoming medical episode in order to prevent, lessen, or prepare for serious, and sometimes even life-threatening, symtpoms.

• Seizure Alerts

Medical response dogs respond to and assist their handler once a medical crisis has already started.

Medical Response Tasks May Include:

• Retrieving medication
• Applying therapeutic pressure
• Getting help
• Grounding (tactical support)
